“6.25”

6월이 되면 생각나는 것이 있다.
학교에서 6.25 전쟁을 기억하며 노래를 부르던 것이 생각난다.
“아아 잊으랴 어찌 우리 이날을 조국을 원수들이 짓밟아 오던 날을 맨주먹 붉은 피로 원수를 막아내어 발을 굴러 땅을 치며 의분에 떤 날을”
이제 전쟁은 종전되었고 약 70년이 흘렀다.
그러나 이념의 차이로 남북은 여전히 갈라져 있고 보이지 않게 국력을 키우며 날 선 대응을 하고 있다.
유다의 바벨론의 포로 생활도 70년이 지나면서 해방되었는데 우리나라는 언제 통일이 될지 끝이 보이지 않는다.
역시 해결점은 예수 안에 있는 하나님의 뜻이라 생각한다.
하여, 기도한다.
주여, 살아생전 자유롭게 북한 땅을 밟고 싶습니다.
아버지 살던 신고산에 가서 복음을 전하고 싶습니다.
아버지가 늘 자랑하시던 금강산도 보고 싶습니다.
생각만 해도 왜 눈물이 나는지…
오늘 하루만이라도 조국을 위하여 머리 숙여 간절히 기도합니다.
주여, 북한에 자유를 선포하옵소서!
그래서 희년의 해를 맞이하는 삼천리금수강산 되게 하옵소서!
온 백성 하나님을 찬양하며 춤추게 하옵소서!
온 세계에 하나님의 위대하심을 선포하게 하옵소서!

“June 25”

When June comes around, I always remember how I used to sing a song at school in commemoration of the Korean War (June 25, 1950).We sang, “Oh, how can we ever forget this day that our enemies trampled on our country, the day that we fought with bare fists and scarlet blood and stomping feet in righteous indignation.”
Now, it has been 70 years since the war ended. However, due to differences in ideology, the North and South are still divided and the countries are building national power behind the scenes. Even Judah was released after 70 years of living as a prisoner of Babylon. But when will our country reunify? I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel. And so, I pray.

Lord, in my lifetime, I want to freely step on the soils of North Korea.
I want to visit my father’s hometown and spread the good news.
I also want to go to Mount Geumgang, which my father talked about with pride.
Simply thinking about it brings tears to my eyes.
Even just for today, I earnestly pray for my country.
Lord, proclaim freedom in North Korea!
May we be like a golden mountain that welcomes the year of jubilee!
May our entire nation praise God and dance before the Lord!
And may we be able to proclaim Your greatness throughout the entire world!
