“결정하기 어려운 일을 해결하는 방법”

살다 보면 결정하기 어려운 순간이 온다.

사업의 일도 직장의 일도 사람과의 관계도 결정하기 어려운 때가 있다.

나는 목사로서 교회 일에도 결정하기 어려운 때를 수시로 맞게 된다.

한 결정을 하면 손해가 발생하고 결정하지 않으면 명분을 잃어버릴 때가 있다.

그래서 고심하게 된다.

그러나 언제나 결심하게 되는 것은 명분을 지키는 것이다.

명분을 잃으면 모든 것을 잃게 되기 때문이다.

그 명분은 하나님의 법 가운데 세워진 법이라고 생각한다.

사람을 잃지 않기 위해 명분을 버리면 그 다음은 모든 사람을 잃게 된다.

그리고 새롭게 세워 나가기 힘들다.

또 명분을 버릴 것이 예측되기에 아무도 믿어주지 않아서이다.

다시 한번 결심해 본다,

무엇인가 손해 보지 않기 위해 명분을 버리지 않겠다.

명분을 무시한 그 어떤 불의와도 절대로 타협하지 않겠다.

모든 것을 잃는다 해도 하나님의 법을 따르며 살 것이다.

그래서 사람의 칭찬을 듣는 것보다 하나님으로부터 칭찬을 받고 싶다.

그러나 법을 지키기 위해 은혜로운 삶을 버려서는 안 된다고 생각한다.

은혜로운 삶은 용서라고 믿는다.

법을 어긴 사람이 잘못을 고한다면 용서하며 보듬어 주는 것이 은혜의 삶이다.

하여

법도 지키고 은혜의 삶도 지키며 살 것을 다시 한번 결단해 본다.

“How to make tough decisions”

In life, there are times when we have to make difficult decisions.
At times, it is hard to make decisions about our businesses, careers, or relationships.
As a pastor, I also face situations in which I have to make difficult choices regarding the church. If I choose one thing over another, I might suffer a loss. But if I do not make any choice, I might go against principles. So, I find myself in deep contemplation over what to do. But I always decide to adhere to principles because if I don’t, I will lose everything. I believe that principles are established in the law of God. Thus, if we forgo principles in order not to lose someone, we will end up losing everyone because it will become difficult for us to build something new. And we will not be able to trust anyone because it is predictable that principles will be unobserved.

I declare again to never exchange principles with anything in order to avoid a loss.
I will never compromise with any injustice that disregards principles. Even if I were to lose everything, I will live according to God’s law. Thereby, rather than receiving compliments from people, I want to be praised by God. But in order to abide by the law, we must not forget to live by grace. A life that is full of grace is a life of forgiveness. If someone who broke the law confesses his wrongdoings, the gracious thing to do would be to forgive and embrace that person. Thus, I avow once again to live with grace and by the law.
