"삶의 지름길"

모든 사람은 바쁘게 일할 때 언제나 지름길을 찾는다.

빨리 일을 끝내고 다음 일을 하거나 쉬고 싶기 때문이다.

그러나 많은 경우 지름길을 찾아 일하다 보면 그르쳐서 더 시간이 들 때가 많다.

그 이유는 그 지름길을 편법을 써서 가려고 하기 때문이다.

내 인생 여정에서 찾은 지름길은 정도로 가는 길이었다.

시작을 정도인 하나님의 말씀에서 찾고

가는 길도 말씀대로 행하고

끝맺음도 말씀이 가르쳐 준 대로 하면 그 결과는 언제나 빠르고 좋았다.

물론 그렇게 사는 길은 느린 것 같이 느껴질 때도 있다.

그러나 살다 보면 결국 그것이 지름길이었다는 것을 알게 된다.

그 이유는 그 길에는 부작용이 없고

막힘도 없어서 결국 빨리 모든 것을 이루게 되기 때문이다.

그러므로 나는 누가 나에게 지름길을 묻는다면 더디더라도 정도로 갈 것을 권한다.

정도란 성경에서 이유를 찾고 기도하며 성경이 가르쳐 준 대로 살아가는 것이다.

그는 어느날 자기가 지름길로 가고 있음을 느끼게 될 것이다.

“Shortcut in Life”

People look for shortcuts whenever they are busy.
They want to quickly finish their work so that they could rest or move onto the next agenda.
But many times, it takes longer for us to complete the work because we end up making mistakes
when we take shortcuts. This is because taking shortcuts is an accelerated way of doing something.
Through my journey of life, I realized that the shortcut to life is to take the right path. Whenever I
did something, I started with the truth that is the Word of God, obeyed His Word as I walked the
path, and continued to follow His Word to the end. In doing so, the result was always swift and
good. There are definitely times when living like this feels tedious and long-drawn. But over time,
we will realize that that was in fact a shortcut because there was no obstacle in the way or side
effects of taking that road. Therefore, if anybody asks me for the shortcut in life, I will advise that
they take the right path—even if it might seem slow. The right path means to find reasons in the
Word, pray, and live according to the Bible. Then one day, we will know that we are taking the
shortcut.
