"말 바꾸지 말기"

함께 일을 하다 보면 가장 힘든 것이 말을 바꾸는 것이다.
말을 바꾼다는 것은 어저께 한 말하고 오늘 한 말이 다른 것이다.
그 이유는 자신에게 불이익이 올까 해서이고 책임을 회피하기 위함이다.
그렇게 되면 한 순간은 위기를 모면할 수 있다.
그러나 그런 사람은 언제나 너무 큰 손실을 경험하게 된다.
신임을 잃었기 때문이고 더 이상 함께 일할 수 없는 사람으로 분류되기 때문이다.
살면서 결단한 것이 있다.
한번 한 말은 바꾸지 말자고…
물론 손해가 있을 것이다.
그러나 그는 신임을 얻게 될 것이고 더 큰 일을 도모할 수 있다
특별히 하나님을 믿는 그리스도인들은 말을 바꾸면 안 된다.
최소한 실수로 말했다면 잘못을 구하고 책임을 질 각오를 해야 할 것이다.
그렇게만 할 수 있다면 그는 최소한 하나님을 믿는 사람이라고 인정받게 될 것이고 다른 좋은 기회를 얻게 될 것을 믿는다.
말 바꾸지 말자!

 

 

“Let us not go back on our words”

The most difficult thing about working with people is when they take break their promises.
When people go back on their words, it means that what they say today differs from what they said yesterday. People change their minds in order to avoid responsibilities or prevent themselves from being put in a disadvantageous position.
Doing so might allow them to momentarily escape their problems.
But those who live like this always end up facing a great loss
They will lose the trust of others, and nobody will want to work with them.

There is something I decided to never do.
I will not go back on my words.
I know I might face some losses.
But when I live like this, I will be able to gain people’s trust and pursue greater things.
Especially Christians who believe in God should not break our words.
If we made a promise by mistake, we must ask for forgiveness and accept the consequences. When we live like this, we will be acknowledged as believers and receive better opportunities. So, let us not go back on our words!
