“다윗처럼 사세요”

"주께서 내가 앉고 일어섬을 아시고 멀리서도 나의 생각을 밝히 아시오며 나의 모든 길과 내가 눕는 것을 살펴 보셨으므로 나의 모든 행위를 익히 아시오니 여호와여 내 혀의 말을 알지 못하시는 것이 하나도 없으시니이다." (시편 139:2-4절)

다윗은 언제나 하나님이 함께하심을 믿었으니
혼자 있을 때 찬양하고
혼자 있을 때 기도하고
혼자 있을 때 맡은 일에 충성하고
혼자 있을 때 말씀을 암송하고
혼자 있을 때 감사하고
혼자 있을 때 받은 복을 세어 보고
혼자 있을 때 하나님을 위하여 귀한 일을 계획하고
혼자 있을 때 범죄 하지 않으려 말씀을 마음에 간직하고
혼자 있을 때 말씀을 발에 등으로 삼고
혼자 있을 때 말씀을 꿀송이보다 더 달게 여겼고
하나님은 그런 다윗을 찾아가 이스라엘의 왕으로 세우셨으니
인생의 성공은 혼자 있을 때 어떤 사람으로 사는가에 달려 있음이라.

가장 지혜로운 삶은
혼자 있을 때 사람답게 살고
혼자 있을 때 성도답게 사는 것이라 할 수 있다.
정말 하나님을 믿는 행동이기 때문이다.

Let’s live like David

“You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.” (Psalm 139:2-4).

Because David believed God was always with him,
He sang praises when alone.
He prayed when alone.
He remained faithful to his duties when alone.
He memorized the Word when alone.
He gave thanks when alone.
He counted his blessings when alone.
When alone, he planned how to honor God.
When alone, he stored the Word in his heart to avoid sin.
When alone, he made the Word a lamp to his feet.
When alone, he found the Word of God sweeter than honey.
God approached David, who lived this way, and made him king.
Hence, true success in life depends on who we are when alone.
The wisest way to live is with integrity when alone.
We must live as true believers even when alone.
This is how true believers of God live.
