“행복을 어디서 찾을 수 있을까?”

세상의 모든 사람은 행복한 삶을 위하여 살고 있다.
그러나 행복한 삶은 그렇게 찾기 쉽지 않다.
만일 찾았어도 순간일 뿐 이 세상에서 영원한 것은 없다.

계획한 일에 성공해도 시간이 지나면 행복하지 않다.
목적을 이루어도 시간이 지나면 행복하지 않다.
좋은 학교를 나와도 시간이 지나면 행복하지 않다.
좋은 직장을 구했어도 시간이 지나면 행복하지 않다.
좋은 차를 사도 시간이 지나면 행복하지 않다.
좋은 집을 사도 시간이 지나면 행복하지 않다.
명품으로 치장 해도 시간이 지나면 행복하지 않다.
영원한 행복은 없는 것인가?

영원한 행복은 생각보다 가까운 곳에 있다.
우리의 마음이다.
만일 마음이 보이지 않는 하나님의 세계를 바라보고 있다면 영원히 행복할 것이다.
집이 없어도 하늘나라에 예비된 나의 집을 생각하며 행복하고
질병에 걸려 고통을 당해도 영생을 누릴 천국을 생각하면 행복하고
가난해도 영원한 나라를 기업으로 물려받을 것을 생각하면 행복할 것이다.
행복은 멀지 않은 곳에 있다.

예수님은 네 마음에 천국이 있다고 하셨다.
그러나 그것을 찾는 길은 쉽지 않다.
오직 성령으로 거듭난 자만이 누릴 수 있는 복이다.
그러므로 그 마음에 천국을 소유한 자가 행복한 자라 말할 수 있다.

“Where can happiness be found?”

Everybody in this world chases after happiness.
But it’s not easy to find a happy life.
And even if we find happiness, it is short-lived. Everything in this world is temporary.
Even when we find success in an achievement, that happiness does not last.
Even when we accomplish something, that happiness does not last.
Even when we graduate from a good college, that happiness does not last.
Even when we get a good job, that happiness does not last.
Even when we get a new car, that happiness does not last.
Even when we get a new house, that happiness does not last.
Even when we cover ourselves with designer items, that happiness does not last.
Then is there no true happiness that lasts?
Well, eternal happiness is closer to us than we realize.
It is found in our hearts.
If we look to God’s World, which the heart cannot see, we will be eternally happy.
Even if we don’t have a house, we will be happy as we think about the home that is prepared for us in heaven.
Even if we suffer because of an illness, we will be happy as we think about eternal life that awaits us in heaven.
Even if we might be poor, we will be happy when we remember the eternal Kingdom that we will inherit.
Happiness is not far away.
Jesus said that heaven is in our hearts.
But the path that leads to happiness is not easy.
It is a blessing that only those who are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit can have.
Therefore, it can be said that those who have heaven in their hearts have found happiness.
