“한 가족이었음을 확인한 자리”

우리 교회 찬양대가 할렐루야 전도 집회에 섰다.
내 눈길은 그들에게 고정되었다.
한 명 한 명 등단하는 모습부터 눈을 떼지 못했다.
하나님께 찬양하는 자리인데
처음엔 학습 발표회에 선 자녀들처럼 보였다.
주눅 들지 말고 씩씩하게 부르기를 마음 졸여 기도했다.
찬양은 우렁찼고 집회 장소를 가득 채웠다.
소절 하나하나가 가슴에 와닿았다.
찬양 제목처럼 준비된 은혜의 비가 나의 마음을 적셨다.
어느덧 염려는 사라지고 찬양에 은혜를 받는 나의 모습을 발견하였다.

그날의 주인공은 예수님이었고
그를 섬기는 제1 조연은 강사가 아니었다.
나에게는 우리 교회 찬양대가 제1 조연이었다.
나는 그곳에서 새삼 우리가 한 가족임을 확인하였다.
반가웠고 자랑스러웠다.

잠시 천국을 생각해 보았다.
먼저 간 많은 성도들이 생각났다.
그들을 천국에서 한꺼번에 만난다면 이렇게 반갑겠다 생각했다.
예수님을 믿는 소망 가운데 천국에서 만나 영원히 함께 살기를 기도했다.

"The moment I realized we were one family"

Our church choir took the stage at the Hallelujah Revival.
My eyes were fixed on them. I couldn't take my eyes off any of the choir members.
Though it was a place of praise and worship, the choir members initially looked like children at a school presentation.
I prayed with anticipation, hoping they would sing with confidence.
When they sang, their praise was resounding. Their voices filled the entire church, and every phrase of the song touched my heart.
Just like the title of the choir song, "The Rain of Grace," God's grace soaked my heart.
Before I knew it, my anxiety disappeared, and I was blessed by the praise.
Jesus was the main character of that praise.
And to me, our choir, not the guest speaker, was the leading servant of Christ.
As the choir sang, I realized once again that we are truly one family.
I was delighted and proud.
I paused to think about heaven and the many believers who had gone before us. I imagined how joyful it would be to meet them all in heaven.
Because of the hope I have in Jesus, I prayed that we would meet again in heaven and live together in eternity.
